They Call Me When Everything Else Has Failed.
When the deal is collapsing, the partnership is at war, the regulator is at the door, or the money is walking out — that is when I get the call. I step in, take authority, and execute the fix.
Most consultants are hired to map out a strategy.
I am hired when the strategy has already collapsed — and someone needs to walk into the fire and get it done.
Nobody Wants the Job When It’s Already a Mess.
I have been a founder, a CEO, and held just about every officer title necessary for running a business. I have worked inside Fortune 500 commercial, industrial, and chemical operations, and have negotiated directly with counsel for more than a dozen federal and state regulatory agencies.
Over twenty years of doing this, I noticed a pattern. I am almost never called until things have already gone sideways. The deal is stalled. The partners are at each other’s throats. The regulator has issued a notice of violation. The buyer is trying to renegotiate after due diligence. The money is at risk.
That is not a coincidence. That is the job. When the situation is clean and manageable, everyone wants a piece of it. When it is complicated, high-stakes, and genuinely difficult — that is where I come in.
If it comes down to money, business, and deals — and somebody is getting screwed — I am the person you hire to save the company, protect the finances, or both.
An Authorized Agent. Not Just an Advisor.
There is a meaningful difference between a consultant who gives you a report and an executive agent who takes formal authority to act on your behalf. When I step into an engagement, I am not advising from the sideline. I am authorized to execute — to sit in the seat, make the calls, direct the legal team, and drive the outcome.
One of my strongest assets is my network of specialized attorneys built over twenty years of working in the field. Real estate attorneys, contract attorneys, transactional attorneys, regulatory counsel. The difference between winning and losing a high-stakes dispute often comes down to having the right attorney in the right seat at the right moment.
I do not practice law. But I know how to build and direct the legal team that wins the case.
If Any of These Sound Familiar, We Should Talk.
These are not hypotheticals. They are representative of the situations I am called into on a regular basis.
The Fractured Partnership
Two partners have reached total breakdown. The business is being destroyed not by the market, but by the dispute itself. I step in as the authorized intermediary and work the financial separation through to a negotiated resolution — without litigation bleeding the remaining value out of the company.
The Hijacked Transaction
A client’s acquisition is targeted by a third party using bad-faith tactics to steal the deal. I engage immediately, assess the legal exposure, mobilize a coordinated team of real estate and transactional attorneys, and execute a defense strategy that protects the client’s position and closes the deal.
The Regulatory Crisis
A notice of violation arrives. The clock is running, the penalties may be material, and the internal team has no experience navigating the agency relationship. I step in as the authorized representative, engage directly with agency counsel, and manage the response and remediation process from start to finish.
The Ownership Transition Gone Wrong
A founder is exiting but the process has stalled due to valuation disputes, undisclosed liabilities, or a buyer renegotiating after due diligence. I step in as authorized agent for the principal, stabilize the transaction, and drive it to a defensible close.
The Vendor or Contract Breach
A key vendor, supplier, or client has breached a material agreement and the financial exposure is significant. Internal management lacks the leverage or experience to force a resolution. I take the position, engage the opposing party directly, and negotiate a recovery that protects the client’s interests.
The Operational Vacuum
A company loses a key executive suddenly — through departure, termination, or dispute — and there is no succession plan. I step into the role on an interim basis, stabilize the function, and either manage the transition to a permanent placement or execute the defined objective and exit cleanly.
What I Bring to the Engagement
Crisis & Turnaround Leadership
Stepping into active situations to stabilize operations, manage cash flow, protect assets, and restore organizational function. Available to serve as Interim CEO, COO, Controller, or any executive role required by the engagement.
Dispute Resolution & Partnership Dissolution
Acting as a hard-nosed intermediary to untangle money and equity without defaulting to scorched-earth litigation. Keeping the value in the business rather than bleeding it out in legal fees.
Deal Protection & Acquisition Defense
Securing threatened transactions. When bad actors attempt to disrupt real estate deals, business acquisitions, or vendor contracts, I step between the client and the threat and execute a defense strategy.
Regulatory & Compliance Crisis Management
Rapid response to enforcement actions from federal and state regulatory agencies. Direct engagement with agency counsel to help mitigate penalties, manage remediation, and restore operational status. Consult qualified legal counsel for formal enforcement proceedings.
Strategic Legal Coordination
A 20-year network of specialized attorneys — real estate, contract, transactional, regulatory. I assemble and direct the right legal team for the situation. The difference between winning and losing often comes down to having the right attorney in the right seat.
Industry Reach
Deepest expertise in Agriculture, Cannabis, Wine & Food, and Real Estate. Also experienced in commercial, industrial, and chemical manufacturing. Available for national and international engagements for the right situation.
If the Situation Is Already Compromised, This Is the Call You Make.
Engagements begin with a confidential consultation to assess the situation, define the scope of agency, and determine whether this is the right fit. There is no obligation and no sales pitch. If I can help, I will tell you exactly how. If I cannot, I will tell you that too.
Twenty years of doing this work successfully, and maintaining nearly every client relationship built along the way, is the only credential that matters.
All inquiries are treated with strict confidentiality. Initial consultation is complimentary.
